Arjun Dhawan

Arjun Dhawan is Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC). He has played a central role in advancing the company’s strategic vision, delivering projects of national significance, and guiding HCC through pivotal moments in its century-long history. During a distinguished sixteen year association with the HCC Group, he has held key positions including Chief Executive Officer of the HCC Group, Delegate of the Board of Steiner AG and President of HCC Infrastructure. In the latter role, he oversaw the development of major infrastructure concessions under the Public-Private Partnership model.

Mr. Dhawan actively contributes to the global infrastructure dialogue through the World Economic Forum, where he serves on the Engineering & Construction Industry Strategy Officers group and on the Global Commission on Nature-Positive Cities. In India, he is an active member of the Confederation of Indian Industry and sits on the Governing Council of the Construction Federation of India.

Earlier in his career, he worked in investment management, overseeing portfolios at Arya Capital Management in Mumbai and at Trellus Management and Banc of America Securities in New York. He began his career in investment banking with the Leveraged Finance Groups of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Middlebury College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
